- The Fuel Pass 2026 platform will open this week on gov.gr, the Greek government’s digital portal.
- The first payments are expected before mid-April, ahead of the Easter period.
- The subsidy covers two months (April–May 2026) and may be extended if necessary.
Who is Eligible?
Fuel Pass is primarily for individuals who:
- Are tax residents of Greece.
- Own or operate a vehicle (car, motorcycle, etc.).
- Meet specific income criteria.
Income Limits
- About €25,000 for single individuals.
- About €35,000 for married couples, with additional allowances for dependent children.
Approximately 75% of Greek vehicle owners are expected to be eligible.
Subsidy Amounts
Fixed Amounts
- €50 for residents of mainland Greece.
- €60 for residents of Greek islands.
This subsidy corresponds to an average benefit of €0.36 per liter over the two-month period.
How to Receive the Subsidy
Recipients can choose between:
- Digital Fuel Pass Card
- Credited to a mobile app/card.
- Can be used for fuel, taxis, or public transportation (if selected).
- Bank Transfer
- The subsidy can be deposited directly into a bank account.
How to Apply
- Applications are submitted online via gov.gr.
- TAXISnet credentials are required to log in.
- Applicants provide contact details and, if opting for a bank deposit, their IBAN. Important Notes
- Each person can submit one application per vehicle registered in their name.
- Be prepared to apply as soon as the platform opens to receive payments quickly.
- Payments are generally processed shortly after submission.
